Draping Final- Golden Gala Gown
Exhibited during SP/SS21 Fashion Show at BYU- Idaho
This gown was inspired by the fabric. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to create my final gown from this fabric. The inside lining of this dress has french darts. The outer fringe layer has no darts, instead it was sculpted to the body of the model.
Problems & Solutions
The hardest part of working on this dress was working with the fringe. When I cut the fabric I did it one layer at a time. I moved the fringe, and then when I sewed it, I had to trim off the fringe that was in the seam allowance.
